Lambda Unity Group is Tulsa's LGBTQ+ Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, held at Fellowship Congregational Church on June 10th (check the listing for the current time). This is a space built specifically for queer and trans people in recovery, where sobriety meets the full context of your life and nobody has to code-switch or explain themselves. AA meetings can feel intimidating the first time, but Lambda Unity tends to run warm and welcoming, and plenty of the people in that room remember exactly what a first visit feels like. If it is your first time, arrive a few minutes early, introduce yourself to whoever greets you at the door, and know that showing up is already the hardest and most courageous part.
