Comedy show at the Loony Bin. The Loony Bin is Tulsa's established comedy club and they bring in touring acts regularly, which matters because touring comedians who play mid-size cities are often working out material that hasn't been performed to death yet and hasn't gone through the Netflix special smoothing process, which means you get something rawer and more alive than the polished version you'd stream six months later. Stand-up comedy is one of the great gay-night-out activities because a good comedian and a room full of strangers who all decide to laugh at the same moment together is a weirdly communal and unexpectedly human experience that is genuinely hard to replicate. Get there early enough to order something before the show starts. Sit close to the stage, because it is always a better show from the front. That is the whole plan.
