Live music at Duet Restaurant from 6:30-9:30p at Duet, 108 N Detroit Ave. Live music in Tulsa is better than it gets credit for, and this is the kind of show worth actually leaving the house for. The experience of being in a room when a performer is doing something real is fundamentally different from a streaming playlist, and you already know this because you have felt it before in a room that was working. Gay music fans have always been at the front of the room because we show up, we care, and we remember the setlist. This artist deserves that kind of audience. Be that audience. Arrive before the opener ends because openers are often worth it. Find a spot you can hold. Put your phone away for at least three songs. Let the room do what rooms do when music is actually working.
