Live stand-up comedy is one of the most consistently underrated night-out options in any city, largely because a good comedian in a room full of people who all decide to laugh at the same moment together is a weirdly communal and unexpectedly human experience that is genuinely hard to replicate through a screen. Gay audiences are notoriously excellent comedy audiences because we recognize when something actually lands and we reward it generously and specifically, which is the kind of feedback a comedian actually learns from. If this comedian earns the room, they will know it. Get there early enough to order something before the show starts. Sit close to the stage because it is always a better show from the front and you deserve the better show.
